In the year 1706 Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston.

 

The grandson of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison Randolph, became the first child born in the White House in 1806.

 

The first U.S. president to testify as a defendant in a criminal or civil suit, while in office, was President Bill Clinton was in 1998.
